The Chilton-Shelby Mental Health Center is a public, non-profit corporation. The Center first opened in 1974 to serve the mentally ill, mentally retarded, and substance abuse clients in the counties of Chilton and Shelby, Alabama.

There are presently eight different locations in the two counties and five group homes.
